I don’t even know where to start. I booked this as a birthday gift for my husband, I paid for breakfast and when it came to breakfast time it was absolutely disgusting! Had me feeling ill all day! The rooms are not clean, the “deluxe double room” is not a double and it’s no where near deluxe either! It’s 2 single beds pushed together with what I can only describe as prison mattresses with toppers on. Very unsteady and very easy to fall out of bed! 1 small pillow each with no spare in the cupboard. All you get is paper cups and when the cleaner comes round she doesn’t replace them or even clean up she makes the beds and that’s it. The doors are caked in dust at the top! The shower is constantly hot and cold, it looks nice but it’s not worth the price you pay! Toilet roll is like sandpaper and there is no soap or shampoo to use, not helpful if you travel hand luggage! Restaurant closes at 10, if you’re hungry they hate you going over the road for some food and bringing it back. I also witnessed a giant rat in the car park which also made me feel uneasy. To make it all better, the heating is stuck! The room keeps getting hotter and hotter and all the staff said is “we will get an engineer to fix this”…. We are still waiting :/ I could say a lot about this place, this hotel has ruined my holiday and I will not be returning in the future. 100% recommend staying in the centre even if it does cost a little more - it’ll be worth it!

the hotel itself was beautiful, amazing interior and exterior. the views from our room was lovely, having a coffee in the morning whilst looking out of the window was beautiful. the downside was quite huge, when we arrived we had to pay a €68 fee for some reason, breakfasts were €18 PER person which i think is purely ridiculous. we refused to have breakfast there as when we went up to look at what was there it was just bread, bacon, eggs, a few pancakes and cold meats. if you bring takeout in you get strange looks from staff. the beds weren't double beds, it was 2 singles pushed together with two single mattress toppers on top. i had to take mine off as i kept falling off the bed in my sleep. Amsterdam is a very expensive place as was this hotel for 4 nights. my partner and i had to pay €15 for a ‘body scrub’ as they ran out of body wash. but the body scrub was pure sugar, and didnt work. i would definitely say that there are better and closer hotels near central amsterdam. overall we did enjoy our stay to some extent and staff were helpful, but the cost and prices of some things were ridiculous. i wouldnt really recommend staying here for more than 2 nights.

Decent hotel, bare in mind it’s a bit far out but for the price of stay you can’t complain. 15 mins walk from metro station. Or you can get a Uber for €7-€9. Only complaint is it’s two single beds together to make a double which means one of you will probably spend the night falling in between the 2. Clean and friendly staff, shower a bit aggressive (loud and quite powerful) but good temperature. Would stay here again :)

Location is a bit of a hike from nearest metro 15-20 min walk) interesting rotunda tower design with top floors a restaurant and a bar (out of action- see below) They provide a shuttle to arena (to pay for) That’s where the good stuff about this hotel ends. Shower in middle of Executive room looked great but NO shower gel or anywhere to put your own wash things!. No toiletries are provided (as an executive room I would have expected something at least). Nearest wash gel was by sink which meant stepping out of shower, so what is the point??? - staff on reception unhelpful and just shrugged their shoulders and were unable to provide any small soaps. The skybar was closed because of a leak ( I suspect this was a long term problem as it was seemingly being used to store boxes of some sort.) it is promoted as one of the hotel attractions yet its closure was not mentioned at check in. It did appear in small print in an in-room flyer about the hotel facilities) We ate in the top floor restaurant which has panoramic views and we have to say the food itself was good. Service however was chaotic. 40 mins after finishing our mains our plates still not collected and we had to get attention of a kindly waitress from another section to order deserts. She was nice and also apologetic but admitted they were understaffed. Overall we felt it could have been so much better but is let down by the impracticality or closure of the facilities you are paying extra for - not helped by unsmiling receptionists. One other point about the unfriendly welcome is having to sign a very long disclaimer about not using drugs etc…. It takes the shine off your otherwise great impression as you approach the unusual building in anticipation of a great stay.The remote location means the hotel really needs to up its game if it wants to be worth a stay. We definitely won’t be back.

The hotel itself looks amazing from outside and the location is surprisingly good. The metro and bus connection it's great even late at night. The only big surprise that has happened was the bathroom. When I made my booking I haven't noticed in any of the description that the shower is in the middle of the room. The breakfast and housekeeping very good.
